Very frilly-leaved Kale, with strong purple colouring. An outstanding flavour raw with no hint of bitterness. The flavour gets quite strong when cooked, though I like it -- works well in a pasta together with Olives, tomato paste and Anchovies. All the strong flavours play well together. ;-)
This Kale has proved to be quite drought-hardy, and kept growing (albeit slowly) through the drought of SummerSeason09.
