(Date a bit uncertain.) Cleared the bed -- was very weedy, also quite a lot of Comfrey roots that needed clearing. The bed was in good condition -- good organic content, and still very deep; received an additional dose of somewhat-aged Horse manure prior to transplanting various Tomatoes.
Nov-08
The North 1/2m of the bed got used as a holding place for a few JerusalemArtichoke that needed to get moved as a result of clearing pathways, so they'll grow there for SummerSeason09. 4 Volunteer mystery Tomatoes (strongly suspected to be IdaGoldTomato) planted in the next 1m. Then a group of 3 ClemsonSpinelessOkra plants. I've never grown Okra before, so looking forward to it. Then +-2m of LimeGreenSaladTomato, in 2x1 diamond formation. The remainder of the bed planted to BrandywineTomato (single row mid-bed.) Southern-end Tomatoes mulched with Comfrey leaves a couple of weeks later.
